We are a retired couple on a fixed income and we felt as if we had won the lottery after the courteous, respectful, and very professional crew went to work installing a boiler, weatherization materials, and giving us a more comfortable home to enjoy the benefits from for many years to come.”

Increase Residents’ Collective Capacity to Realize Their Own Visions for their Communities

Montrose Housing Action Team

Since 2020, Housing Resources has served as the facilitator of the Montrose Housing Action Team.  This team created a Montrose Housing Action Plan in 2021, with an update in 2024. This team includes housing nonprofits, other social service nonprofits, local governments, and other interested residents and businesses, all working together to create an effective strategy to address housing needs in Montrose County.

Clifton Development Design Charette

Housing Resources invited several members of the Clifton Community Leaders to join a 3-day design charette in Denver to help conceive our new affordable rental neighborhood. Our goal is to design a neighborhood by and for Clifton residents that supports Clifton’s renaissance.

Mobile Home Community Preservation Convening

Housing Resources hosted a statewide convening to discuss one of the most pressing affordable housing issue facing Colorado: the loss of affordable housing in mobile home parks. The event brought together representatives of non-profit organizations, local and state government, lenders, park owners, park residents, legal services organizations and others to explore creative solutions and opportunities for resident ownership.
