About Us
Housing Resources of Western Colorado was founded in 1977 with a focus on providing solar energy conservation, education, and recycling programs. Since then, HRWC has evolved to include programs that support homeowners, homebuyers, and renters throughout Western Colorado.
Mission
To advance equitable housing and healthy communities through education, empowerment, development, and preservation.
Vision
Every Western Colorado resident thrives in a quality, safe, and healthy home.
DEI Commitment
Housing Resources is committed to making equity, diversity, and inclusion an organizational priority by fostering a culture that identifies and addresses inequities within both our organization and larger community. We acknowledge that housing policy has a history of being used as a tool of discrimination and extraction. We strive to create programs that reflect housing as a powerful tool of inclusion and empowerment.
