“I kept on getting denied for mortgages, and I was just barely making it through with the down payment. With the down payment assistance program, I was able to buy my childhood home, which was awesome. I’m able to move forward with my life. Essentially, I’m able to start a family.”

Build Your Own Home with Sweat Equity

Our Self-Help Homeownership program helps people build their own home with construction and permanent financing, and construction supervision. Participants work alongside other families to complete a group of homes. Participants commit to performing 65% of the construction labor, which includes 30 hours per week of on-site work for an average of 12-18 months.

Sign up for pre-purchase counseling and increase your financial fitness to begin the qualification process.

“Instead of giving me ‘housing’, this program gave us a home….This was a life altering experience that I will never stop appreciating.”
